LitterLoot
Clean Up Level Up
Did Playing With Trash Just Become FUN!?

Powered by Gamification
At the center of LitterLoot is a gamified mobile app. Through game-inspired visuals, sounds, and haptics, the app creates an addicting cleanup experience. Users can also earn volunteer hours, climb the Looter Leaderboard, track their impact, and share their achievements with others on social media.

User-Driven Robots
LitterLoot robots are controlled directly by users through the LitterLoot app. Users connect to a robot, drive it through designated cleanup areas, monitor its status in real time, and return it to its charging dock. GPS tracking, battery monitoring, and secure docking systems help keep every session safe, simple, and reliable.

Cost-Effective Implementation
LitterLoot is built for cost-effective deployment. By using user-controlled robots instead of expensive autonomous systems, we reduce both hardware and operating costs. With scalable deployment infrastructure, environmental impact is maximized per dollar invested. The robots are constructed from commercially available components and simple custom 3D-printed parts, enabling affordable manufacturing, maintenance, and scalability.

The Problem LitterLoot Addresses
Environmental cleanup faces a number of challenges. Pollution continues to increase, community engagement can be difficult to sustain, and many cleanup initiatives rely on costly technology or funding sources that are difficult to maintain long-term. While one-time volunteer events can make a difference, lasting impact requires consistent participation, and recurring solutions are often highly automated and expensive. At the same time, millions of people willingly spend hours engaging with games, technology, and other high-demand activities. Students seek volunteer opportunities, communities want cleaner environments, and people enjoy competition, achievement, and social interaction. LitterLoot was built around a simple question: what if the same energy that drives engagement in popular industries could be redirected toward environmental impact? By combining technology, gamification, and community participation, LitterLoot transforms cleanup into a fun, competitive activity people look forward to. Instead of simply picking up trash, users can loot trash, earn points, climb the Looter Leaderboard, and gain volunteer hours.
